Idle Dice is an incremental game about rolling dice for points and turning those points into ever bigger multipliers. It was released in November 2018 and plays in desktop and mobile browsers. The credits name its author as Lutz Schönfelder, who publishes on CrazyGames as Luts91.

How to play

Click to roll the dice, or click anywhere on the background, which also triggers a roll. Points come from each roll, and they grow much faster when several dice show matching faces. Once you have upgraded your dice, auto-roll unlocks and the game keeps rolling for you, so you can leave it running and come back later. On a phone the game also supports portrait mode.

The combos are borrowed from poker: a pair, two pairs, three of a kind, a straight, a full house, four of a kind and five of a kind. The more dice that share a value, the bigger the multiplier, and buying more dice raises the chance of landing them. Some achievements ask you to roll a single combo a thousand times.

Systems you unlock

• Luck upgrades, including "slow but strong", which halves the auto-roll speed but doubles the dice multiplier.
• Cards. Progress fills a deck of fifty-two cards. Cards can be gilded into golden cards, and later diamond cards can be drawn, with each draw costing more than the last.
• Casinos, the prestige layer. Buying a casino resets the run, and each casino you own adds bonuses and one skill point for the skill tree.
• Roulette and a slot machine that hand out extra rewards.
• Dice duels against opponents, which earn cup points.
• A bonus shop, daily rewards and a long list of achievements.

Keyboard shortcuts save clicks: B buys all upgrades, S spins the roulette and P prestiges. Your save can be exported, imported from a file and backed up.

Tips

• Put early points into extra dice. More dice means more chances at matching faces, and combos are where most points come from.
• Try the "slow but strong" upgrade once auto-roll is running, since a doubled multiplier may be worth more than the rolls you give up.
• Do not forget to gild cards; the game even warns you if you skip it.
• Collect the daily reward whenever you open the game, and export your save now and then so a cleared browser does not cost you progress.
